If you want to travel to Athens, you will need get there by traveling by air or by boat. Going by air will probably be easier than going by boat and it will not take as long going by air. Traveling by air will take you about 15-18 hours depending on whether you stop in between flights, or on who you choose to travel with (airliner). It will cost around $1,000-$1,500 because you are traveling across the sea, and you're traveling to a different country.

If you want to travel by boat, it will take you about 4.5 days and 90% of the trip will be on a boat in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. If you do choose to go by boat, you would have to take your own boat, and on average it will cost you about $73,000, about 70 times more expensive than an airplane. You can not book a cruise or a ship that far unless you sneak onto a shipping liner and find your way to Athens.
